Take Action!

If the White House and Congress succeed in defunding and repealing the Affordable Care Act, millions will lose healthcare coverage, tens of thousands will die each year, and our healthcare system will be thrown into chaos.

Congress’ careless “plan” cuts coverage for the most vulnerable in our communities, and puts in place massive tax breaks for drug companies, health insurers, and CEOs.

We cannot let this happen.

Together, we can stop Congress’ careless “plan” and secure quality, affordable healthcare for all.

Sign the petition to Congress to Save the Affordable Care Act

More than 12 million low-income Americans in 31 states received health coverage for the first time under the Medicaid Expansion through the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. And 10 million middle-income Americans received health insurance for the first time through the insurance exchanges. The Republican repeal legislation: the American Healthcare Act, would eliminate health insurance for 24 million Americans and abolish Medicaid as a federal entitlement program. Demand that Congress preserve and improve the Affordable Care Act!

Save Obamacare

As the results of the national election sink inOn behalf of the 22 million Americans who gained healthcare coverage through Obamacare – we must move quickly to preserve the gains we have made in providing health coverage to so many people in the last 8 years. The first line of attack of the new administration, according to the Republican leadership in Congress and the President-elect – will be the Affordable Care Act – President Obama’s signature achievement and a law that reduced the rate of people without health insurance to historic lows in our country.

Every person has a fundamental human right to health.

The Medicaid expansion was a critical cornerstone of the Affordable Care Act. Across America, 31 states participated in the Medicaid expansion, providing healthcare for the first time, to 12 million low-income Americans. In inner city areas like South Los Angeles, the Medicaid expansion had a profound impact on the health status of hundreds of thousands of people. Patients received care that prevented them from going blind or losing a limb from diabetes; other patients were given life-saving medication for the first time that prevented them from having a stroke; patients received mental health services for the first time.

We saw up front and personal, the impact of Obamacare that resulted in saving so many people’s lives in the neighborhoods we serve. That’s why the thought of losing Obamacare is so painful to those of us providing healthcare to people on the front lines every single day and so frightening to the patients we serve.

That is why we wanted you to hear the impact this law has had for our communities, directly from them. Here is what our patients had to say about why we need to fight and save Obamacare.

Will you join us in this effort to save Obamacare?
